Inspiration for Urban Brides: Modern Minneapolis Wedding

ELEGANT SIMPLICITY: WHITE FLORALS AND GREENERY

The boutique carrying Sammi’s dress was CheBella Bridal Boutique. Her bouqet was beautiful, made of white roses and baby’s breath accent. During her reception speech, Sammi hilariously thanked herself for planning the wedding. She did AMAZING; just look at how coordinated the bridesmaids’ green dresses were, with mismatched styles and complimentary green tones. The tan suits pulled the color scheme together and elevated the pop of white from Sammi’s dress to the floral accents in the bridesmaid dresses. The bridal party had their feature moment with coordinating sunglasses for a fun and edgy shot with their friends.

RAINY DAY WEDDING PHOTOS

If it rains on your wedding day – don’t worry! Take these gorgeous pictures as an example. As long as you, your planner, or your photographer/videographer have a few clear umbrellas you can still tag some photos outside if you wish. The bottom of your dress might get a little dirty, yes, but hey- it’s being worn one day ONLY, so there is no better time to take photos in it! We went outside to take the photos with umbrellas for no more than 5 minutes, and we still had excellent, romantic results. Just do a couple quick kisses, walk around and stare into each other’s eyes, then walk back inside. If you want, it would even be a great idea to buy enough clear umbrellas for your entire bridal party for some romantic pictures in the lucky weather!

LOVE IN THE CITY: A ROMANTIC INDOOR WEDDING CEREMONY WITH HANGING LIGHTS

The rain outside only enhanced the romantic touches to Sammi and Tyler’s stunning ceremony. Their unity ceremony was lighting a candle together. The couple spoke their personal vows to each other in front of family and friends, with tears and laughter the whole way. These two met in college in a mutual class they shared. Urban Daisy was the perfect backdrop for them to officially tie the knot!

GROOMSMEN FIRST LOOK

One of the best parts of their day was when the bride did a first look with the groomsmen. When they turned around, she was holding up Smirnoff ICE packs for them. She was met with a round of applause and laughs – all smiles from them! She joined in chugging a bottle with the guys before seeing her groom for the first time shortly after.

COCKTAIL HOUR UNDER THE GREENERY: SAMMI AND TYLER’S UNIQUE WEDDING RECEPTION

This gorgeous venue sitting in Northeast Minneapolis is a splash of unique and refreshing scenery for any urban wedding reception. There is a permanent hanging installation of greenery and lanterns floating above the cocktail space and dance floor, adding a feel of whimsy to every event. There is a beautiful lounge space on one of the walls with hanging planters overhead. It’s onnly one of the unique features of the beautiful wedding and event space.
