Kelsey and Asher’s wedding at Abella Weddings & Events on September 27, 2024, was one of those special weddings where emotions were high, and God’s presence was heavy. From the modern boho aesthetic with pampas grass and warm neutrals to the heartfelt moments that had everyone (including us!) in tears, this day was an absolute dream.

A First Touch & A Tear-Filled Aisle Moment

Rather than a first look, Kelsey and Asher chose to wait until the ceremony to see each other, making their aisle moment incredibly powerful. As soon as Kelsey stepped into view, Asher couldn’t hold back the tears—he was absolutely bawling. It was the kind of raw, emotional reaction that reminds you just how deep love runs.

But before that unforgettable moment, they shared a “first touch” instead. Embracing hands, they took a quiet moment together, praying over their marriage and soaking in the significance of the day—without actually seeing each other. It was one of the most heartfelt parts of the morning, a reminder that a wedding isn’t just about the celebration but the foundation being built.

Christ-Centered Ceremony

One thing we deeply related with Kelsey and Asher on is their love for the Lord. They centered their ceremony around the love of Jesus, and building their foundation upon him. This only increased the beautiful sentiments shared between them, with a special moment of prayer, a unity ceremony of tying “a cord of 3 strands”, and personal vows that were built around Christ’s love.

Bridal Party Energy & A Reception to Remember

The bridal party brought the energy all day long, from fun group photos to hyping up Kelsey and Asher at every turn. They fully embraced the joy of the day, and their excitement was contagious.

And then came the reception. Let’s just say… this dance floor was wild in the best way. At one point, someone even pulled off a backflip-twice! With music pumping, guests dancing non-stop, and so much laughter, it was one of those celebrations you never want to end.

A Golden Hour of Our Dreams

We couldn’t have asked for a better sunset on display to represent the amazing family that was just created. God was smiling down on these two as they enjoyed some quiet moments together in the midst of the reception to soak it in one last time. And these photos?! STUNNING.

Fun fact: we actually ran into Kelsey and Asher the very next day at a lantern festival in Maple Grove, MN! We’ve never accidentally seen one of our couples the day after the wedding, but we absolutely love that it happened!
